One night last year, at dinner with my (now) wife and our closest friends, we came up with an idea. Our idea was to visit as many restaurants as possible in and around the DC area. But what we didn't want to do was get stuck in a cycle of alternating Italian/Seafood/America/etc. While there is certainly no shortage of restaurants for us to choose from, the problem is with the four of us agreeing on one particular type of cuisine. Not that easy considering our tastes range from high-end 5 course dinners to chili dogs and a soda. One thing we can all agree on though, is WINE.
Our solution?
We decided to pick our restaurants in the order of the alphabet. Hence the name of this blog, DC From A to Z. Each member of our "Restaurant Club" gets to pick 7 restaurants over the course of the alphabet. Since we are already almost completely through our first season (it's taken almost 2 years!), I will start posting beginning with our new 'A' restaurant.
I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures (some good, some bad) and gain some knowledge about each establishment that we visited.
